One morning, on a deserted mountain slope, I was suddenly aware of how for once, whichever way I looked, there was no sign of Man. No buildings, roads, electricity wires, people, footprints… and I thought how rare and unusual! And then the enormous shadow of a 747 slid over the hillside.
